Social Insecurity

social insecurity punk 7" 1992In high school my friends and I started a punk rock band called “Social Insecurity”. For a few years we played local shows, self released a 7″, and had a couple tracks on comps. My friend Todd did all of the graphic design, layouts, and released the records. His first release was the “S.I. One” comp 7″ which featured the bands Media Children, Holocaust, Social Insecurity, and Unauthorized. I didn’t play on this track that was released on the 7″ as I joined the band shortly after. The second record release is the “self titled” 7″ that is shown above. The cover was printed on a foldout newsprint cover with a green vinyl record. It had a foldout poster where I illustrated all of our songs. We had a track on the comp. 7″ “Not Just Lip Service” which was released by the band Media Children. The comp featured tracks from Vex, Autonomy, Firing Squad, Litmus Green, Primitive Tribes, and Social Insecurity. Below is a picture of our section of the foldout poster which I did the illustration for and Todd did the design.
