Chronicle A/D “Bloodsport War” 7″ Loderbrock records

This was my third record release on Loderbrock Records the Chronicle A/D “Bloodsport War” 7″. This record came out as a protest to George Bush’s “Iraq War”. The front and back cover was illustrated by Jeremy Hush and was silk screened on cardboard.

Chronicle A/D “Bloodsport War” Track:

A review of the record:
Chronicle A/D “Bloodsport War” 7″ – This is the second 7” from this amazing Savannah 3 piece, and it picks up right where the first one left off. This band features current members of KARST, and ex-members of ANTISCHISM and INITIAL STATE just to name a few. Take everything you would expect from members of those bands, and amplify it by 10, and that’s what you get here. You can feel the passion and sincerity of this band literally oozing off your turntable. The music is energetic and aggressive with the tempo ranging from fast and thrashing to heavy and haunting, with a touch of melody thrown in here and there, even a bit of a dark metallic feel at times. The drumming is unmatched, franticly banging out speedy beats, switching to heavier parts with almost a rhythmic tribal feel. All the singers compliment each other well, with shrill and urgent vocals dueling with harsher, deeper vocals, all blending together just right. And the lyrics aren’t your run of the mill songs about how war and government are bad, (though that is mostly what they’re about) they are extremely biting and poetic, yet still very pissed off, with tons of conviction, enthusiasm and heartfelt sincerity. The packaging is top notch as well, with a screened cardstock sleeve and more awesome artwork by Jeremy Clark. This is one of the best bands going right now! (Toddrightous)
