Destroy Design | bad genes
While I lived in Pittsburph going to art school (from 93-95) I started to hang out with the band "Bad Genes". I actually played drums for them at a house party once but didn't make the cut as their drummer so I became "Little Alex" the roadie.

Bad Genes

While I lived in Pittsburgh going to art school (from 93-95) I started to hang out with the band “Bad Genes”. I actually played drums for them at a house party once but didn’t make the cut as their drummer so I became “Little Alex” the roadie. Although I’m not that little I was quite a bit smaller than the other Alex who sang for Submachine. I did a few east coast tours with them and one gig sticks out in my mind was in Chicago in January. It was so good damn cold there that we stayed warm drinking “Blue 101” peppermint schnapps playing in a basement that didn’t have heat. They released three 7″s which one was the Anti-flag / Bad Genes “Rockin’ with Father Mike” 7″ shown below that had some of my photos of the band in. They also released a live cd called ” Falafel In Kreuzberg” released on Ox Records.
